I’m so thrilled to be here to capture this couple’s story. We began with their storybook proposal at HammerSky Vineyards, where Zach popped the question under the incredible oak tree (aka ‘Uncle Dan’) that is surrounded by vineyard. The mud didn’t discourage Zach from getting Kyla to the perfect spot, where he dropped to a knee…settled into the mud…and popped the question. The best part, these two decided to tie the knot at HammerSky in the late summer of this year!
But I’m getting ahead of myself here!
Our engagement photo-journey started in the Eucalyptus; I hadn’t thought of it at the time, but Zach commented that the spot was perfect because the Eucalyptus are all imports from Australia, just like him ;). Of course, once the forest dissipates into the dunes of Montaña de Oro ~ the terrain changes in an exceptional way. The hills of gold, the emerald sea, the greenery…it makes for the perfect backdrop.
Kyla is clearly stunning to begin with, and I loved that she chose dresses that were fun; during our shoot, she admitted, ‘you only do this once, I want to have fun with it!” The combination of the lush green hills and her beautiful champagne dress were perfect; I couldn’t go wrong!
