Blake Andrews founded SLOtography in 2008 and now works alongside photographer James Lester and videographer Robin Ayers. Together, they bring more than 30 years of experience (and serious good vibes) to weddings and events throughout San Luis Obispo and the Central Coast.
It’s not only an immense privilege and absolute joy to photograph the wedding of a close friend and colleague, but Aerin & Robin’s celebration was truly one of a kind. Every moment was filled with surprises, whimsy, and so much heart. I feel incredibly grateful to have witnessed—and documented—their love. 💕 I’m so proud of Robin for the journey they’ve been on since the day we met (I think they were 17!) and every day since. Inspirational. And Aerin is every bit as amazing ~ these two are an explosion of beautiful in all of the ways. Congratulations!

"Tonight isn`t about standing out from each other, it`s about standing alongside each other." 🤍
That`s exactly what Vibe After Five is all about.
An evening dedicated to bringing together the incredible wedding professionals of the Central Coast to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the community we`re fortunate to be a part of. From familiar faces to first-time attendees, every conversation helps strengthen this industry.
A huge thank you to everyone who made this year`s event possible and to everyone who came out to be part of it. Here`s to supporting one another, building new relationships, and continuing to grow together.
Until next year! ✨

Some weddings are just “the vibe” ~ I don’t even know why, but every frame from this wedding was glorious. Probably just a beautiful couple, a glorious day and some incredible views*

Senbazuru—the tradition of 1,001 origami cranes at weddings—is deeply rooted in Japanese culture, symbolizing good fortune, longevity, and a thousand years of happiness. Traditionally, family and friends fold 1,000 paper cranes while sharing wishes for the couple’s future, with the 1,001st crane added as an extra blessing and a little boost of good luck.
It’s always such a treat to see meaningful cultural traditions woven into a wedding celebration. At Jackie and Ryan’s wedding, we had the privilege of experiencing not only the beauty of Japanese traditions but also the vibrant warmth of Mexican culture, showcased through incredible food, festive drinks, and an unforgettable performance by a talented Mariachi band. It was a beautiful celebration that honored both families and the traditions that shaped their story.

Elena came into our lives the way a lot of new people do these days…she responded to our request for childcare for our two-year-old ;). When we discussed the possibility of nanny-ing, we had inquired about Memorial Day weekend and whether she’d be available…to which she responded, “Unfortunately, no. I’m going to a music festival!” Turns out, we would all be in attendance ;). And from that point on, we not only found a nanny…but a friend…ahhh <3
Fast forward to last month, our daughter is now 5, and we had enough time to attend the beautiful wedding/festival celebration for Elena & Nick. The kids stayed at home, with the exception of their pup ;). ’Twas a beautiful night in the vineyard in the Edna Valley. The long table, filled with good people, full glasses of delicious wine & food, and surrounded by the vineyard and good vibes.
