Fire Spiral. Exposure: 15sec @f/8.
I came across these fire twirlers tonight at Port San Luis ~ Avila Beach. The Sphere of light around here was created by two torches (of fire) that were attached to a line…probably something fire retardant. As you may have gathered, I don’t know much about the practice of fire twirling…in fact, I’m pretty sure that’s not what it’s called at all. They did tell me they were planning on performing at Burning Man in September ~ which seems like a perfect place for them.
