I will never forget photographing my first Catholic wedding. It was Mission San Miguel, which is glorious and beautiful and actually quite dark inside. The priest told me, “you can stand there, but once the service begins, you may not move.” Well, some time has passed since then, and with a place as bright and beautifully crafted as Saint Joseph’s Cathedral, well, let’s just say there’s a little more grace ;)…which allowed me to get this shot during communion:
It was a pleasure to experience the day alongside these two lovebirds. I certainly wish them luck as they venture into this next chapter of life ~ but I have a feeling that they’ve got all the support and love on their side, who needs lucky when you’re this good?
