The Hood family was in town to celebrate the holidays with grandma & grandpa at their beautiful home in Cambria, Ca (and to snap some Moonstone Beach Family Portraits!). I joined them at their house where they were getting ready to set out on a day of adventures in the area, the first stop was right in the front yard where we snapped a few pictures of the crew. We made our way just a few miles north to the amazing Moonstone Beach where we collected some beautiful Family Portraits. The trees were made for climbing ~ and that’s what the kids did. It was fun to just capture the kids playing after getting a few posed shots. We made our way to different areas within the state park ~ it’s a beautiful park with amazing views of the coast. We even ventured down to the water by way of the sandstone cliffs.
I was happy to see that everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves (kids especially) during the photo shoot. I think it’s paramount to keep the mood casual & fun for any portrait session; this yields the most authentic results (that, and a good camera).
