If you’re Chris, the #1 question you’ve received over the past decade is “so…what are you waiting for 💍 ?”
And yesterday, after 11+years together. After a COVID elopement. After the birth of their child, Henry. After their 2nd (this time a bit larger) ceremony. After dinner (they had tacos). In front of an audience of all of their people (over 60 of which were family & 30+ kids, including Henry)…Lou & Chris shared their first dance…and Henry began to cry, so, they swooped him up to join in the waltz…and “you’re simply the best played” (the acoustic, ‘feely’ version). And while Henry stopped crying, everyone else began to.
And then, right when the chorus sang “you’re better than all the rest,” Chris looked at everyone who ever asked him that age-old question (all at once, it was incredible), and those piercing baby blue eyes said, “this is what WE were waiting for.”
