Fairytales and Boots, Kaycie & Broderick’s 1800 El Pomar Wedding
There’s a certain kind of magic that happens when a wedding perfectly reflects a couple’s personality—and that’s exactly what Kaycie and Broderick achieved with their 1800 El Pomar wedding in June 2025. Set against the warm hills of Templeton, CA, this celebration combined Western roots, timeless design, and deep Central Coast connections. The result? A day that was as authentic and down-to-earth as the couple themselves.
A Templeton Love Story with SLO Roots
From our very first exchange, I felt like I already knew Kaycie. Her email mentioned that her grandfather worked as the woodshop and swim coach at San Luis Obispo High School—a name that definitely rang a bell from my own time growing up here. That small-town familiarity made our connection instant, and it was a joy to learn that her family still lives in the area. Her fiancé, Broderick, is a bit newer to the region, but together they’ve built a love story rooted in simplicity, family, and home.
When they told me they’d chosen 1800 El Pomar as their venue, I knew it was the perfect match. Tucked into the wine country of Templeton, the estate offers sweeping views, old oaks, vineyard charm, and an ideal setting for couples looking to blend natural beauty with personal style.
Engagement Session Sneak Peek
Before their big day, we met up for an engagement shoot that took us through Edna Valley’s golden vineyards and the oak-dotted serenity of Biddle Park. Kaycie and Broderick were totally in their element—laughing, barefoot at times, just enjoying the moment. It was also during that session that I got a sneak peek at one of their favorite wedding-day details: the boots. Both Kaycie and Broderick picked out stylish Western boots to wear when they said “I do,” tying in their theme with just the right mix of flair and comfort.
Ceremony + Reception at 1800 El Pomar
Every part of their 1800 El Pomar wedding was hosted outdoors, from the sunlit afternoon ceremony to the twilight reception under the stars. The ceremony space was decorated with a cowhide rug at the end of the aisle—a simple but meaningful nod to their Western aesthetic. Kaycie kept the florals clean and classic with white blooms, letting the beauty of the venue speak for itself.
As she walked down the aisle in her elegant gown (and yes, those boots), Broderick couldn’t take his eyes off her. Their vows were sweet, heartfelt, and perfectly them. The couple’s relaxed energy made everything feel genuine and unscripted—exactly the kind of moments I love capturing.
The reception followed right after, with about 200 guests gathered to celebrate. The mood was upbeat but never rushed—just a laid-back Central Coast evening filled with good food, music, and some of the most heartfelt toasts I’ve heard.
Western Details Meet Timeless Design
What made this 1800 El Pomar wedding especially beautiful was the way Kaycie and Broderick blended themes. Their Western influences—like boots, cowhide, and rustic textures—were balanced by elegant, timeless choices. From the clean floral design to their classic attire, it felt modern and grounded at the same time.
Why 1800 El Pomar Is a Dream Venue
If you’re looking for a venue that feels both private and expansive, rustic and refined, 1800 El Pomar checks every box. The property’s layout is ideal for couples planning an outdoor wedding, with ceremony and reception areas that flow naturally and soak in the golden-hour glow. Kaycie and Broderick’s celebration is proof that whether you’re planning a country-chic bash or a classic wine-country affair, an 1800 El Pomar wedding offers the versatility and backdrop to bring your vision to life.
