Celebrate LGBTQQ Love

Celebrate LGBTQQ Love…love is love, after all.

When I photographed my first gay wedding, Leanne+Rachel in 2013, I remember the very first time we spoke…one of the initial questions was, “do you feel comfortable photographing a same-sex couple?”

I likely responded with a resounding “yes!” because, I truly was excited to capture love of any kind, but truthfully, this was something that was in the zeitgeist of 2013. In 2013, Proposition 8 was struck down in court and gay marriage became legal in California. Open the fucking floodgates!

Over the following few years, I photographed Leanne+Rachel’s nuptials and several more same-gender couples. Like never before or since…I was capturing couples that had been together for decades before being legally able to tie the knot! The emotion at such an occasion was unparalleled. There was so much love, from the “fans” who had been waiting patiently for this moment…for years. It was, so special, every time.

10+ years of gay marriage in California!

And here we are, years later, and several amazing celebrations ~ still celebrating Celebrate LGBTQQ Love <3

Happy Pride Month to all <3

Thank you to all of the couples that have entrusted me to capture their love ~ it is sacred, it is beautiful, it should be shared…I am here for it!
