Victoria+Robert ~ Married at Diablo Grande

Victoria+Robert ~ Married at Diablo Grande

Such a magical wedding day, with so much love and a little bit of Gatsby flare <3 I like where this is headed!

Robert went into the day excited & nervous, Victoria was all smiles. Watching the difference between these 2 camps, as I bounced back-and-forth between their ‘getting ready’ rooms, was so interesting. Champagne pops, makeup touch-ups, ladies laughing, happy-go-lucky on one side. Smoke raising, guys re-trying ties, filling up flasks and pausing for deep breaths.

All of the nerves made sense: this day has been a long time in the making. And this isn’t just about Victoria + Robert, we’re talking about two families coming together…and everyone who came to celebrate, is ready to party 🙂

Robert was ready to go as the ceremony began. Each member of the wedding party made their way slowly up the steps, one by one, to reach the grand vista at Diablo Grande! The junior bridesmaids & flower girl (Hazel, Kamila & Makenzie) nearly stole the show, but were quickly outdone by the beautiful (smiling) bride making her way to Robert. This first look was a beautiful site and I’m so glad we capture Robert’s reaction!

The ceremony took place atop the terrace, with views for days. The weather was perfect: with beautiful blue skies and white-puffy clouds that went on forever. It was a perfect ceremony. The party followed, filled with heartfelt speeches. Victoria & Robert snuck away for photos at sunset (a show that did not disappoint!). The evening was just getting started at that point ~ filled with dancing, desert, libations: a Gatsby style party!

Check out the highlights of the night below!

Rewind: Their Engagement around San Luis Obispo was one of my favorite shoots of all time (it may have had something to do with our stop at the pub…): https://slotography.com/victoria-robert-engaged/
