Adorning one’s self with in green and filling the belly with an abundance of booze at 6am is a modern American tradition known as Saint Patrick’s Day. Like most holidays, we’ve hijacked this one from another culture, stripped it of nearly all of its historic significance, butchered the authentic attire (in favor of something sexier) and filled the resulting voids with alcohol (see Mardi Gras, Halloween, Cinco de Mayo, etc.).
And St. Patty’s Day in San Luis Obispo is as modern as St. Pat’s gets…if only they died San Luis Creek green (jk, don’t do this). But seriously, one of these years’ is gonna be the last year, so get while the gettin’s good.
This is now a SLOtography tradition, 3 years running. Check out some snaps from years past! 2014 Gallery ~ Full 2015 Gallery
