When I first met Leanne & Rachel in October, they came by my office to discuss their wedding and the possibility of hiring me as their photographer for the day! They entered my office, took a seat and we chatted. They asked, “do you have any problems photographing a lesbian wedding?”…and I said, “Nope, none at all.” Which took care of that. I asked them about their wedding date, “Feb. 13th, 2014…a Thursday” which seemed a bit curious to me…but then they clarified that it would be their 16th anniversary of dating! I think I was kind of stunned. I was thinking, first off…they’re too young to have been together for that long. Then, I thought, “how many couples do I know that have been together that long?” But here they were, celebrating a sweet 16 years together with their family on the beach on Morro Bay.
