Hot, spicy, sweet…Almond Springs, like a Party Mix that you just can’t stop eating, it’s Rikki & Jessie’s incredible Almond Springs Wedding Day <3.
It was hot, but the cabins were cool…ahhh Air Conditioning :). But, there is something truly-lovely about the rolling golden hills on a hot autumn day…the views were as stunning as ever. Thanks too, to the amazing tree cover of the grounds around Almond Springs (gotta love a spring, an oasis).
After the long trip out to Almond Springs, far enough for our cell phones to lose service completely…a nice little feature of a remote wedding venue: disconnecting with our devices so we can connect with our loved ones ;). To begin, we captured Jessie’s crew around the property in between games of pool in the saloon :). A first look with Rikki’s dad. And the details of both of these brides getting ready.
Come together for a sweet Almond Springs Wedding ceremony <3
As the two brides wrapped their getting-ready routine and took one more moment in front of the A/C, they made their way to the wedding on the spacious lawn. Surrounded by their friends and family, they shared a beautiful ceremony. Kicked off with a wedding party and adorable flower girls ~ the two lovely brides came together ~ from opposite ends of the ceremony ~ in a truly unique celebration. With their vows, rings, and a kiss, they made it official!
Announcing, “Mrs. and Mrs. Marlanzo”
With the ceremony concluded, it was time for the festivities to begin! It was time to party! And first thing first: Dessert is kicked off by an Ice Cream Truck imported by SLO Mama Sweets, in their classic attire ~ perfection! Welcome SLO Mama Sweets :). Just in time, ’cause we need a way to beat this 100+ degree heat! Add to it, an Ice Cream cake, S’more bar and a candy station.
Cue the food. And the best kind: Tacos. With all the fixings, all the toppings, and carne asada, pollo verde, and al pastor…it truly was a Taco Party (brought to us by Taco Party Catering ;)). This day keeps getting better, or should I say “cooler” (because it was!). And as the sun dipped in its final hour of light, we enjoyed tacos and a couple of signature cocktails (hers & hers).
The sun did set, and we were there atop the hill to capture it all. The golden light of golden hour is just a bit extra, like 24 karat…and these two brides were aglow. The night capped with drinks and dancing in the saloon and adjacent dance floor, with a set list brought to us by DJ Angel (Heavenly). It was a lovely day celebrating these newlyweds at Almond Springs, and the heat of the day brought us a magnificent evening under the glorious and clear night sky!
