Ashley+Joe ~ Married in San Luis Obispo at the Monday Club ~ in a beautiful fall ceremony! Their Monday Club Wedding was done beautifully as they hosted Ashley’s friends and family (from San Luis Obispo) as well as Joe’s excellent crew from Minnesota and Massachusetts. Everyone in attendance was happy to celebrate this beautiful union; and to experience the Indian summer for one beautiful weekend on the central coast!
The star of the show was, without a doubt, Isla, Ashley & Joe’s beautiful daughter. She was all eyes, all day long, taking in the beautiful occasion. The photos of her are priceless…some of my favorites!
According to Ashley, “this wedding was a major DIY endeavor. The napkins were made by my aunts and mother from my late grandmother’s fabric collection. The china was collected from families and friends and also picked up from local thrift shops. Same with the stemware. Most of the milk glass, used for the centerpieces, was collected in Boston and shipped to CA. Our family friend, Cheryl Ziehl, did all the flowers and table tops. She also did the flowers at my Mom and Dad’s wedding at the Monday Club 33 years prior! My brother made all the pumpkin liqueur for the cocktails and party favors too (and it was extremely tasty). The invitations were printed at home and assembled by us!
It was perfect; having guests from across the nation, bringing decorations from their families & neighborhoods was very symbolic. The occasion was so joyous, and Ashley & Joe’s love story was highlighted in every detail. My favorite moment of the night was seeing the movie (put together by Ashley’s talented mother, Claudia), that featured interviews of Ashley & Joe as they discussed the story of their love…I won’t attempt to summarize, rather, I’ll let the photos do the talking!
